Here in the US we’re used to the idea that the new media fueled by the reach of the internet is a game changer in politics. That doesn’t necessarily mean that the truth wins out, but it does level the playing field to a far greater degree than ever before. Which explains the full on push for outright censorship—including by the legacy media.
RT has become a major target for the West’s war on information, as the State Department admits that they’re losing the information war regarding the Anglo-Zionist war on Russia. According to DoS, the Anglo-Zionist narrative in all its disingenuity should be an “open and shut case”. The Intel Community narratives have prevailed in the past, from the Gulf of Tonkin on, maybe earlier, so why not now? It must be RT!
But the thing about RT is that it’s really a very traditional media platform—it publishes articles that people have to take some time out of their lives to read, whereas few people get past the first paragraph or two on legacy Western outlets. That’s pretty typical of what most Western analysts regard as a fairly lame Russian approach to propaganda. All of which suggests a genuine hunger for information in the West, and a realization that we’re not getting the whole story from our IC controlled media. People are starting to recognize propaganda when they see it, and that perception is reflected in polling that shows a low level of trust in the media.
That realization probably derives from our experience with MSM coverage of politics and government actions in the US—if we can’t trust them here, why should we trust them to cover the world fairly? A case in point is the failure of US media to provide much in the way of informed coverage of the past week’s events concerning the drive to launch American missile strikes into Russia, and Russia’s stark response—both from President Putin and at the UN.

NEW:
Ukraine is starting to lose the media war as well, so now the Biden administration wants to arrest "disobedient" journalists.
Antony Blinken accused the Russia Today media of having ties to Russian intelligence.
Almost 100% of the mainstream media in the US is directly controlled by US intelligence.

Washington fears losing information war – historian
RT’s global outreach makes it an enemy in the eyes of the West, historian Alexander Markovics has said
The latest US sanctions against RT is a panic reaction resulting from the West’s slipping grip on the narrative in the global news arena, according to Alexander Markovics, the head of the Suworow Institute in Vienna.
The Austrian historian and publicist spoke to RT in an interview on Friday, just hours after the US announced that it had sanctioned the news organization. James Rubin, the head of State Department propaganda and intelligence, accused RT earlier in the day of hindering support for Ukraine worldwide.
“One of the reasons… why so much of the world has not been as fully supportive of Ukraine as one might expect… is because of the broad scope and reach of RT,” Rubin claimed.
Markovics said the US accuses Russia of what Washington itself is doing – “spreading propaganda and disinformation” globally. Meanwhile, RT provides people in Europe, Africa, and Latin America with “a second opinion.”
“If you only listened to European and American news about the war in Ukraine, you would believe that Ukraine is winning and that sooner or later, Russia will collapse under the weight of Western sanctions,” he said.
Markovics believes the latest repression against RT is “just a panic reaction” driven by the West’s fear of “losing the game.”
It’s losing the game of information warfare, therefore censoring every kind of opposition still available.
“RT, with its extensive global outreach, is seen as an enemy by Western propaganda,” he added.
Markovics dismissed the claim that Western news outlets serve democracy better than their Russian counterparts, noting that the American media has repeatedly been caught lying. He cited the false claims about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, which led to the deaths of over 1 million people during the US-led invasion of the country. “They lied about Afghanistan, they lied about Libya; their actions have resulted in the deaths of millions.”
The different message provided by RT resonates in the Global South, Markovics said. Many people in Africa and Latin America “appreciate this variety and difference in news,” without which they would be subjected to a Western media monopoly, he added.
This hunger for information inspires many on alternative media platforms. For example:

Has anyone heard this before:
Ukraine is essentially a giant CIA base, posing as a sovereign nation.
The CIA moved into Ukraine after the fall of the Soviet Union, looking to take advantage of the lawless and destabilized country, using it as an offshore proxy, outside the scope of US oversight.
It began with the Nunn-Lugar Act in 1991, and then carried on into 2005, when then Senators Obama and Lugar visited Ukraine, to inspect the former Soviet bio, chemical, and nuclear facilities (pictured below), and then added Ukraine to the Defense Threat Reduction Agency, and began turning these former Soviet facilities into “defensive research facilities”, which opened the door for US contractors to establish their foothold in Ukraine, and set up their money laundering and racketeering operations, under the guise of “foreign aid”.
Then the CIA funded Nazi militant groups in Ukraine which led to the outbreak of civil war in 2014 in the Donbas. Amidst the chaos, the US State Department, via Victoria Nuland, leveraged the situation to install US-loyal puppets, including the infamous leaked phone call between her and fellow State Department bureaucrat Geoffrey Pyatt, about ensuring “their guy” Yatsenuik, was installed as Prime Minister. The State Department, in tandem with the CIA, covertly took control of Ukraine via Color Revolution in 2014.
Putin recognized this. He knew that the US had destabilized and taken control of Ukraine, and recognized that the US were building a proxy army on his border, by funding, training, and supplying Ukraine with weapons, and trying to bring them into NATO. This was a red line for Putin, as he has said for decades. Russia have been invaded from the West too many times before, and will not tolerate a hostile standing army and long-range missiles on their border. Just like the US didn’t like it when Russia tried to put nukes in Cuba in the 60’s, Russia doesn’t like the US trying to bring armies and weapons to Ukraine.
Essentially, Ukraine is an unofficial US territory and NATO member, and the Deep State do not want to lose out on their cash cow and strategic asset that is Ukraine, hence why they continue to send hundreds of billions of our tax dollars to protect Ukraine’s border. They are using Ukraine as a laundry mat to funnel in hundreds of billions for the war machine, and also covering up their extreme criminality in Ukraine, including crimes against humanity for bioweapon development, human trafficking, drug trafficking, etc. All the things they can’t get away with stateside, they do in Ukraine.
If the public knew the truth about the origins of US involvement in Ukraine, they would NEVER have supported sending a single penny to Ukraine. The narrative that Russia attacked Ukraine in 2022 “unprovoked”, is war propaganda to make it appear Ukraine are the righteous defenders in order to garner your support, when in reality, The US started this conflict, they are the ones who brought war to Putin’s doorstep, and the US are the ones perpetuating the war by continuing to fund and supply Ukraine.
Putin does not want to conquer all of Europe, he just wants NATO off of his border, and justice for US development of weapons of mass destruction in Ukraine, namely, gene-specific biological weapons.
The Cold War never truly ended.

Admittedly, this isn’t the whole story, by a long shot. But it’s an illustration of how—sparked by the relatively free flow of information on the internet—ordinary people are digging for more information. And coming up with it.
This issue needs to be central in the 2024 presidential campaign.
Synonyms for “disingenuity:” trickery, contrivance, craftiness…in other word willfully distorting, or omitting, the truth. Mercouris mentioned yesterday in his broadcast that the MSM had, according to his review of the usual suspects (US and UK) publications, gone so far as to exclude from Putin’s recent warnings regarding Ukraine’s use of long-range missiles to strike Russia, the essential nugget of truth in Putin’s thinking: that to program, target and launch such missiles requires Nato personnel from Nato countries - US and Europe - NOT Ukrainian servicemen, who “cannot do it.” So the public is left without the key point, that Nato itself would be at war with Russia, and would therefore pay the consequences. Instead, the public is left with an image of Ukraine deprived (as Zelensky in his growing wrath and desperation is also expressing) of being allowed to defend itself. Pernicious disinfo, “disingenious,” and about on the level of Kirby, Blinken et al.
I remember the “good old days” when the scales were still on my eyes and fixated on the drudge report, the wsj and, to feed my inner female, vanity fair.
More time, Less to read.
Now, thanks to all the goons trying to “manage” the masses by capture and silence, I can hardly keep up with all the quality reporting/writing.
Speaking of RT, shout out to Dennis Miller. Miss you!
