I’ll be doing something a bit unusual—pasting in the same Youtube video twice, with two different starting points. You’re welcome, of course to listen/watch the entire 45 minutes or so, but I believe Mercouris’ comments on the incompetence and arrogance of the Zhou regime should prove especially interesting to many readers.
The first selection is an extended look at the mishandling of the Finland/Sweden applications to join NATO. The one country opposing the entry of these two Scandinavian countries that has gained the most attention is, of course, Turkey (although Turkey is apparently supported in this by both Hungary and Croatia). Mercouris suggests that Turkey’s Erdogan began this role as a ploy to extract various concessions. However, says Mercouris, Erdogan is now incensed at the apparent failure of the US to take him seriously. Mercouris discusses all this in detail, illustrating the incompetence of the Zhou regime in what should have been an important part of their strategy—daft though that strategy may be:
As you’ll see, that segment goes from roughly 25:00 to roughly 32:00.
The next segment switches to a wider perspective on the Zhou regime. It is, says Mercouris, an administration that seems ready to antagonize absolutely everybody—not just Turkey, but China and even, he says, the UK. Beyond offending, this Zhou regime seems to resort to threats as a first option. The Zhou regime simply doesn’t do diplomacy—it reacts first, without seeming to consider the consequences. Shades of Nuland’s famous ‘F*ck the EU’ phone call, only this time around the Zhou team is saying this to the faces of their opposite numbers or in public statement—including by Zhou himself—rather than in private communications. Consider what this could portend for America’s standing in the world. Burning bridges is rarely a good idea. My question is—Who thought turning America over to the Zhou gang, a gang that can’t think straight, was a good idea? It was crazy, and there is lots of time to screw more things up between now and November, 2024. Mercouris, of course, only addresses American foreign policy. We’re the ones who will be living the domestic policy.
Bluto Barr is now saying the Hillary engaged in a seditious conspiracy. Barr and others—Ryan, McConnell and the rest of the usual suspects—have a lot of explaining to do. But who’s listening at this point?
"The Zhou regime simply doesn’t do diplomacy—it reacts first, without seeming to consider the consequences."
It's the 'diplomacy' of five year olds on the kindergarten playground. And not particularly well raised five year olds. They simply state what they want when they want it how they want it. There is no expectation of being refused or of anyone else having different thoughts or interests.
It gives you an idea of how air tight a bubble these people of the Beltway live in.
It’s going to make the rest of the world see Russia and China as more trustworthy economically.
“Consider what this could portend for America’s standing in the world.”
And diminish trust in the US security promises.
And the seizure of Russian Assets in the West is going to piggyback on the US bullying actions, making other nations seek alternatives, since the West has shown it can’t be trusted, and rule of law is dead.
Combine this with the deliberate inflation of the US Dollar, and out of control deficits, which has impacted every country in the world.
“since January 2020, the United States has printed nearly 80% of all US dollars in existence.”

End result will be diminishing of the US Dollar being used for international transactions, and the US dollar as the worlds reserve currency. And growth in a new international asset backed transaction system. Which will diminish US economical power tremendously.
