About The FDA's War On Children

It’s fairly pointless to rail against the FDA’s decision to encourage the injection of children as young as five years old with an experimental gene therapy medication. In effect what they’re doing is enlisting children—in some states, possibly by mandate—into a huge medical experiment. With good reason to know that they will be harming some children for life, even killing some. That one of the “doctors” on the board could so cavalierly suggest that the only way to learn about the safety of the vaccine is to go ahead and use it on children—with the dangers of the injection for those under 30  already so well known that multiple countries have banned this use—is simply mind boggling. The risk of Covid the disease to children is so slight that it’s overwhelming outweighed by the risk of the injection.

What this latest episode in the sorry history of the Covid Regime illustrates is the theme I’ve been referring to over the past several days: The dangers for the public when constitutional government is turned on its head and government through an Administrative State staffed by unelected bureaucrats beholden to Big Pharma and Big Money interests is substituted for informed discussion by our elected representatives.

Consider the following from Karol Markowicz’s article at Newsweek:

Markowicz opens by pointing out that—even before any decision was made by the FDA—the Zhou regime had ordered up 65 million “pediatric” doses of the injection before the injections were ever approved for kids on any basis. How does that happen, if the outcome isn’t a foregone conclusion before the hearing? Answer: It doesn’t happen. Yet the public isn’t told how such a momentous decision is actually reached. Instead, we’re supposed to be satisfied with a sort of masquerade of decision making that will involve our lives.

She then points out that, as usual, the rules don’t apply to the ruling class:

Meanwhile, states are already making policy around vaccinating children.

Earlier this month Governor Gavin Newsom announced that California would add the COVID vaccine to the list of vaccinations kids are required to receive to attend school. …

But the question of vaccinating young kids is very complicated. There's no strong evidence that kids need the vaccine.

In fact there’s strong countervailing evidence.

A few days after Gov. Newsom announced the mandate, news broke that his 12-year-old daughter, who is already eligible for the vaccine, had not yet been vaccinated.

Instead of open discussion we see censorship of unapproved discussion—including by highly informed professionals—and those who do voice views that the regime disapproves of face cancellation, up to and including loss of employment. And yet the inconvenient facts keep dribbling out:

And while a lot of the conversation over the last few months has focused on whether people are pro- or anti-vaccine, children are in another category altogether. Studies keep showing that unvaccinated kids have a lower risk of death from COVID than even fully vaccinated adults of any age. …

…

In July, David Zweig wrote a very smart piece on Wired.com exposing how the CDC had covered up the risk of myocarditis post-vaccination in teen boys. Zweig quoted CDC head Rochelle, who said "the benefits of vaccination far outweigh any harm." True, the vaccine-related risk of myocarditis is extremely small (less than .01 percent, per Rochelle). But the risk of COVID among the young is also very small.

And notably, as Zweig points out, the rate in teen boys post-vaccine is seven times higher than it is for girls. Rochelle had combined the sexes and got a lower risk number. How can parents trust this politicized organization to tell the truth about vaccines for children when its leaders have lied before?

The Zhou regime is doing nothing to fix that broken trust. Instead of convincing Americans to take the COVID-19 vaccine, it has attempted to force them into it under the threat of taking away their livelihoods. American parents are right to worry that those same mandates will be applied to schooling. With scientists saying herd immunity is largely off the table where COVID is concerned, whether or not to vaccinate a child should remain the prerogative of the parents.

When did this template become the model for how America is supposed to function—in place of the constitutional template? And yet we hear nothing—or next to nothing—from our elected representatives who should be riding herd over the bureaucrats.
