This morning I highlighted Russia publicity surrounding the ambush and elimination of a NATO sabotage team inside Russia—a team that included at least one American as well as Canadians and possibly Poles. I suggested that this a warning aimed at renewed US threats to conduct deep missile strikes against Russia. That may be the case, but Putin has made a far more serious and pointed response to US threats:
Putin Oversees Sweeping Exercise Of Russia's Nuclear Forces Days Before US Election
Readers can follow the link to read Putin’s statements regarding the large scale exercise. Here I’ll simply offer the last two paragraphs of the article:
The Pentagon Monday warned that the US is willing to lift all restrictions on Ukraine's use of West-supplied weapons on Russian territory in the scenario that North Korea joins the war in Ukraine, amid recent reports that some 10,000 DPRK troops have been sent to Russia.
Putin has previously warned that such missile attacks deep into Russia would be a 'red line'. This alone could possibly lead to the Kremlin to deploy strategic nukes, in a nightmare escalation scenario. All of this is also without doubt sending a strong message to whoever gets voted into the White House after next week's US election.
What emerges from this is that Russia is fed up with US brinkmanship and attempts to bully Russia. While the context for this exchange is the Russian Special Military Operation in Ukraine—where Russia’s offensive is picking up steam and Ukrainian defenses are collapsing—one suspects that Russia’s warning will have broader application, including in the Middle East. This excerpt from Putin’s statement does suggest that, in ordering these exercises, he had such a broader application in mind, rather than a response to one specific US statement:
"Taking into account growing geopolitical tensions and emerging new threats and risks, it’s important for us to have modern strategic forces that are always ready for combat," he said, emphasizing that nuclear weapons remain "the ultimate, extreme measure" of ensuring Russia's national security.
The Anglo-Zionist strategy for maintaining global hegemony is increasingly in tatters. Challenging Russia looks like a losing gamble.
Zhou gonna burn down the house before he leaves.
The US always had the intention to lift all restrictions on the use of NATO weapons against targets in Russia, regardless of what happened next. The West is losing, and these pinprick attacks won’t change anything. Anyone expect Putin to say “well gee, we better ask the NK soldiers to leave or else we are going to get hammered by some western wunderwaffe?”
Anyone find it somewhat hypocritical that citizens from all NATO countries are fighting in Ukraine but a few NK soldiers can’t fight in Russia?
This is all getting so tiring watching the machinations of the NATO desperate fools.
