This is another Judge Nap interview, and I really recommend it highly. What I’ve done is a very short transcript of Macgregor’s concluding remarks, in response to prompting “roundup” questions from the Judge.
Col. Douglas Macgregor : Do Israel + Ukraine = WWIII?
If President Trump is elected, it would be very helpful to watch carefully where many of these people [the knucklehead senators who signed on to Cotton's outrageous letter to the ICC] show up in his future administration. There's an expectation that there will be dramatic change, if he's elected. When you see names like this show up as potential cabinet members it should raise questions in people's minds about what is meant by change--if anything.

I think it [the war in Ukraine] will last till the end of the summer. I think it will run out of steam by then. But, again, we don't know what's gonna happen just over the next two or three weeks. If the British and French do not cease and desist, if we do not signal our private acknowledgement that this is a lost cause--which we can do through somebody like Ambassador Burns very easily--and then make provisions to withdraw some of our more vulnerable assets and people from Ukraine, then I think we could see a serious crisis on the scale of the Cuban Missile Crisis erupt this summer.
Recall that in a tweet this morning—quoted in our first post of the day—Macgregor stated that he senses that the Russians have had enough and will take the gloves off.
[Re Washington changing its mind on our genocide in Gaza] I don't think there's gonna be any change of heart in Washington whatsoever. There's no evidence for that. I do think that within the larger regional framework the tectonic plates are moving, and we'll see more dramatic movement in the months ahead--to the point where suddenly Israel confronts something far more serious than Hamas. Much more serious in the sense that it could be regional, with terrible implications for the use of weapons of mass destruction. I hope I'm wrong, but I think that's probably on the horizon somewhere.
I'm talking about the major powers in the region--Iran, Turkey, other Muslim countries in the world, others who may not be in the immediate vicinity but may have an interest in the outcome that may provide capabilities that are currently not available [he's talking about Pakistan]. I don't want to go into too much detail there because then you're moving into an environment where I can't confirm it--I can only talk about it as a potential problem. I think the Israelis, if this [genocide] persists, will suddenly confront a different set of actors who are much more willing to take action against them that could be devastating--and I don't exclude Russia or China from that equation either.
Isn't knucklehead synonymous with Senator? Somebody help me out here, Trump is treading on some shaky swamp land, is he not? The same caste of idiots that blew up his administration the first go-round, will do the same again. I will never vote for more of the same old same old again. I may have to write in Vladimir Putin for President or Genghis Khan even !!!
Col. Macgregor is becoming the geopolitical analyst equivalent of what economic analysts call a "Permabear." Although that is typically used as a derogatory label nowadays, Permabears do perform a valuable service by setting a worst case scenario as a "base case" in their analysis. I believe that to be a very valuable service especially when applied to geopolitics, especially in these days when people are inclined to disregard any negative or unpleasant effects of their or any other governments' actions, especially when nuclear weapons may be involved.
